If ever there was a time for a song and video such as Rewind, it is now. DesChamp, a graduate of the Faculty of Music at Queen’s University at Kingston with majors in voice and composition, and Rawson, a songwriter who made his mark in Nashville writing for singers such as Johnny Reid, Keith Urban, Alannah Myles, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntyre, Tanya Tucker, Anne Murray, and others, are both Peterborough, Ontario based today.
The two got together during the pandemic and composed Rewind in the hopes it will help lift the spirits of people feeling the emotional ups and downs of living through these times.
“My latest collaboration with Cyril, Rewind, is scheduled for release on YouTube (with the accompanying video), Spotify, Apple Music, and all music streaming platforms on Friday, March 5th,” says Kenny. “I feel the message conveyed in this song is one people living through this pandemic need to hear. It is a reminder that we need to be grateful.”
Kevan Smith has produced an outstanding official music video for the song on March 6th in addition to a lyric video on the day of release. www.youtube.com/watch?v=11iRYXqlkcc
